I love photographing different ages for different reasons. For example, I love molding and forming newborns. I love that they represent life and creation. I love the little things a three or four year old does with their hands and feet and how they twist and turn. I love how a five to 7 year old can take enough direction to really play with the light but they are still young enough to give you silly and giggly moments. I love the milestones of the first year and how a 6 month old sitting up with a nice rolly belly can take your breath away and make you giggle or cry all in the same session…and I love this age (one and two) bc I know everything about it will be real. There will be no bribing to get what I want from them…they are young enough to do exactly what they want when they want to do it and they really, more than any age, run the show so to speak. So going into this session I knew I would be busy. But with mom and dad’s help we were ready to tackle these three cutie-cuties! I always go into a session with some sort of a plan and normally start with everyone and then break the groups down from there. (if this was a family shoot I would 99% of the time start with getting that one great family shot) So we started with all three here and then I broke down to the twins and the each kid and then we started all over again. Most people are surprised to know I shoot in under an hour the majority of the time. I am one fast and crazy lady and unless we need to take a snack break to get someone happy I feel like most kids are done with me in about 45 minutes…We all left dripping with sweat but I think, and hope mom and dad do too, that it was worth it…love the images we captured!
